Motiv Entertainment is headed by "DJ Motiv" (if you ask nicely you can find out the origins of the name)

Born and raised in Wellington, Mr 'Motiv' spent a number of years as a radio announcer and broadcaster, working throughout the North Island for various commerical and alternative radio stations.

Through his radio career he has worked as a Copywriter, Producer, Announcer and Creative Director, all starting at just the tender age of 16 years old.

During this time, a somewhat hippy-ish and fluffy side was also experimented with, working as part of the Student Radio Network and playing alongside various groups and DJs as part of an underground live music scene in Wellington.

After taking a long break from music (and leaving behind the hippy-ish fluffy side of life) he spent a number of years working in a variety of roles, including senior and management roles within the Health Sector.

Despite the rather stiff collar jobs, a passion for music was maintained throughout, assisted in part by a penchant for the guitar, drums and keyboard.

A change of scene and pace led to the Motiv Family uplifting from their Wellington roots (hence the Gold and Black logo and website) and relocating to Central Otago - somwhere between Queenstown and Wanaka, where Motiv Entertainment was more formally established.

Using some of the latest in digital DJing technology, Motiv Entertainment (a family run passion and business) has quickly grown to deliver a technically superior service with a qualitative love of music and an old school ability to mix (and scratch when requested) music.

Since then, Motiv Entertainment has quickly become one of the most sought-after DJ entertainment services for weddings and other events in Central Otago. particularly Queenstown and Wanaka.
